February Update

Hello Everyone!

We just wanted to drop you a quick update on ministry, travel, and life. Two thousand eight ended out fantastically for us here at Daniel Eric Groves Ministries. And 2009 not only brought our team a new Groves member (baby Breckin), but we also gained two new interns.

We are very excited to announce the beginning of our Zamar Internship Program. Zamar, in Hebrew, means to make music, to sing praises. We have, for a while, anticipated the season when we would be released to begin this internship to raise up young musicians and worship leaders in ministry, and it has finally arrived. At present we have two new young men, Jordan and Jonathan, that will be with us for 2009. It is exciting! If you want some information on our internship, feel free to email us at mail@danielericgroves.com. It is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to pursue worship and ministry.

Aside from that, we will be heading back out on the road at the end of February. We have taken a good sized break to take care of our new "additions," but we are up and ready to go now. We are updating our schedule daily, so keep an eye on our website (www.danielericgroves.com), myspace (www.myspace.com/danielericgrovesmusic), and facebook. With all of our travels, there is a good chance we will be worshiping in or at least somewhere near your area. We would love for you to join us in the presence of God!

Two thousand nine is going to be an incredible year! This year God will require that we all learn to truly trust in Him. However, in that place, He can offer us more help than we have ever had - physically, financially, emotionally. Enjoy His love and favor! We will update you again soon! We call you blessed!

Prayer

"...You do not have, because you do not ask God."
James 4:2

"...The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
James 5:16

I had a great revelation on prayer a year or so ago. When an unfortunate or upsetting situation arose, I found I would think to myself, "Well, I guess there isn't really anything that I can do to help. I guess I'll just pray," as if prayer was a last resort. I became convicted when I realized that I was pushing God's intervention way back to last place, and even not having much confidence that He would fix the situation.

Sometimes we forget that our prayers do mean something. Sometimes we are just so caught up in what we are doing that we forget to pray, which the Bible says is why we don't have what we want. Our prayers are the catalysts of change in this life and we must not forget that fact.

I know that because our faith is such a way of life, we often forget just how much power is behind our requests to God. Proverbs 15:8 says, "...God delights in the prayer of the upright." He loves it when we ask Him for things. Remember as you encounter life, that God is waiting for your requests. Nothing you can ask of God is too great or too small. If He knows the number of hairs on your head, surely He cares about the concerns of your heart.

"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me."
Psalm 138:8
